Autumn in Norfolk
Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 3:41PM I was told a few weeks ago that there isn't really a fall season in Norfolk. "The trees turn brown, and the next day the leaves are gone". Rick and I being from the northeast, rely on fall. We need the 50-60-degree weather to keep us from going nuts with half a year of summer.
I posted recently that it's 60 degrees and nearly winter. I'm a bigger fan of warm weather, but I do love autumn. The smell of fallen leaves makes me remember rolling in piles of them, and it makes me feel like a little kid.
As I was location hunting for photo shoots, I changed my mind and took photos of what's left of fall here. In PA, snow on thanksgiving was a practical wish. Here, eh not so much but I'll still try to be hopeful for snow at all this year.
(The barbed wire doesn't fit in, but it was the first photo I took when I was in the location-scouting mood).
