Ashlie - Norfolk Botanical Gardens

Ashlie contacted me at work, and told me she needed some updated portraits. She chose the Norfolk Botanical Gardens, and obviously I couldn't resist. 

She is probably one of the sweetest, smartest and most humble person I know, and get to work with on a regular basis. We had so much fun with our session, and we couldn't stop laughing the whole time. Snakes made us run in the opposite direction a few times, but that didn't stop us :-)

Springtime!

Spring is here! Meaning, more flowers for filler while I catch up on editing, and patiently await wedding season. My doggie Minka came with me on this little adventure, but as she was distracted by squirrels, I was only able to capture photos of her rear. Enjoy!

Married! Brit & Mike - Sunshine Hill Farm - Reva Virginia

What a way to finish weddings for 2011. I hadn't met Brit and Mike until the day of the wedding, and I think the first thing I shouted was that I LOVED her hair, haha! Also, that her ring matched mine :-)

I don't think these two took a bad photo all day. It was the last weekend of October, and although a little chilly, you wouldn't have noticed. I believe it was her sister that said during the reception, that Brit and Mike bring out the best in each other - they really do. They are both so very sweet, and they both sparkled the entire day, making my job not feel like a job again. 

Sunshine Hill Farm was GORGEOUS! For someone who is obsessed with lens flare, it was super easy to get carried away. The sun set so quickly, but we managed to get shots of everyone, and headed to the party! Thanks for including me on your special day!

 

Married! Lauren & Bobby - Chesapeake, Virginia

I absolutely loved the simplicity of Lauren and Bobby's wedding. After several weddings leading up to this wedding in different hotel venues, it was nice to be outside - not to mention getting to ride in a haytruck! 

I was contacted by a coworker asking if I would consider photographing their wedding, and I'm so glad I said yes. My favorite parts must have been Lauren's flowers, and look at those bridesmaids dresses, how flattering!

 

Married! Rachel & KJ - Hamilton, New Jersey

What a long overdue post! I photographed Rachel and KJ's engagement session in Philadelphia, and they finally married this past October! I had such a great time, and there was so much to take photos of! Not only did Rachel make a beautiful bride, but she and KJ put so much effort into the little details of their wedding. 

This wedding was awesome. If you weren't having fun, well, you weren't at the wedding. I don't think there was anyone around without a smile on their faces. People came from all over the world (hence the flags), to be with them, and their placecards all had photos on them. Also, I had NEVER seen any family get together for one photo so quickly! They claimed to have a lot of practice, and it definitely showed off :-)

It was my second to last wedding of the year, and I am so very glad I got to be a part of it. I hope you've had a great couple of married months so far, Rachel and KJ, and years to come!
